\Girls should stay inside the apartments houses and parents should not allow them to roam in the streets in the rainy times. The city of Chennai is flooded with rain and teenage girls should restrict themselves inside the flats houses and avoid wandering in the streets. The drainage system has failed and the water is stagnant for 5 feet in the streets of Chennai and is highly unsafe to travel in those streets in the bike or car. The teenagers should not ride in the bike outside the apartments with their girl friends and heed to the words of the parents and the family members.
It is very difficult for the teenagers to stay inside the flats houses with the parents and family members and not meeting the close friends or gang members. But it is necessary that they stay so as the Government officials had said to do so. The roads outside the apartments are damaged and hollowed and one cannot afford to ride in these roads. Colleges and Government offices have declared holidays saving the toll taken by the people and allowed them to stay in their apartments houses.
The drainage structure of the city is criticized to the core and the stagnant water has no way to drain off the roads. It will take a months time for the city to recover to its normal state . The water has to drain off by itself and there is no way to flush the stagnant rain water off the roads making it nearly impossible for the people to travel using the roads.
Also the metro trains have been stopped in major places and the in and out to some places in the city is restricted and people are evacuated from their villa house. The streets have been filled with water and also started entering the houses that are in low ground.
